The Department of Physics at Sapienza University of Rome is pleased to announce a competition for a prize in memory of our colleague Dr. Stefania Marassi.
The prize, €3100 (before taxes), is intended for early-career female researchers in the field of the astrophysics of massive stars, their stellar remnants (neutron stars and black holes), gravitational waves, and the theory of gravity, with particular attention to individuals who have experienced career breaks or who are in the transitional phase between completing their PhD and beginning postdoctoral research.
Eligible applicants are female researchers who have obtained a PhD in Physics or in Astronomy and Astrophysics from any Italian university no earlier than November 1, 2023, or who are expected to complete their PhD during the academic year 2024/2025.
The deadline for the applications is July 30, 2025.
