HOW TO BORROW BOOKS:

FROM SAPIENZA ONLINE CATALOGUE

YOU CAN FIND THE BOOK YOU NEED AND MAKE A BORROWING REQUEST. INFO

Whoever is registered at the library’services can borrow books for a period of:
15 days extendable for students
30 days extendable for all other users
Books that cannot be borrowed from the library:
Ancient books, journals collected in brochures and the books for consultation only cannot be borrowed
Loan deadline:
whoever does not respect the loan deadline, will receive a reminder via e-mail, phone call or written note. Whoever loses a book borrowed from the library’s collections must replace it with an identical copy or (if it is not on the market anymore) with a same-value volume, both scientific and economic.

The loan service includes the self-registration by the user, through the Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID). Each volume has been identified with a tag that allows the traceability and all the users who possess the library card can access to this service, including Sapienza students who possess the Student card.
The Student card is gettable by making a request on its own Infostud profile.

Interlibrary loan
The interlibrary loan service is operative for all the libraries and for all our users who ask for it. The service is free of charge but it is free for our students and the Department institutional staff.
