Lorenzo Caprini è il vincitore del premio IUPAP Early Career Scientist in Statistical Physics 2025. Il premio viene assegnato a scienziati nella prima fase della loro carriera per eccezionali risultati nel campo della Fisica Statistica. La premiazione avverrà durante la 29esima Conferenza Internazionale di Fisica Statistica (STATPHYS 29) che si terrà a Firenze dal 13 al 18 Luglio.  

Lorenzo Caprini ha conseguito il Ph.D. al Gran Sasso Science Institute nel 2019 ed è attualmente ricercatore tenure-track presso il Dipartimento di Fisica dell’Università La Sapienza. La sua ricerca è focalizzata principalmente su materia attiva, materiali granulari e aspetti fondamentali della meccanica statistica del non-equilibrio, compresa la termodinamica stocastica e la teoria della risposta lineare. 

Lorenzo Caprini has been awarded the 2025 IUPAP Early Career Scientist Prize in Statistical Physics. The Award is aimed at recognizing outstanding achievements of scientists at early stages of their career in the field of Statistical Physics. The award ceremony will take place at the StatPhys29 conference in Florence, 13-18 July, 2025. 

Lorenzo Caprini obtained his PhD from the Gran Sasso Science Institute in 2019 and is currently a tenure-track researcher at the Physics Department of Sapienza University. His research focuses on active matter, granular materials and fundamental aspects of non-equilibrium statistical mechanics, including stochastic thermodynamics and linear response theory.
